WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Roger & Sakina Buoy founded The Somerset Toiletry Company in 1999. Serial entrepreneur Roger and aromatherapy expert Sakina identified a gap in the market to produce beautiful, honestly priced luxury toiletries.
Following the initial success of producing body care for other companies, the business developed their own distribution range. Trade Fairs all over the world have been used to build brand awareness and develop valued customer relationships. Over the years the company has been recognised for many prestigious awards for business and design, including the Queens Award.

We are dedicated to sourcing the very best quality ingredients to create the perfect fragrances and formulations. We are honest about what ingredients we use and we use natural extracts in our products where possible. Our most popular ollections Naturally European, Delray Beach and Tropical Fruits are completely paraben and SLS free. Everything we do is tested in-house as we believe strongly against animal cruelty and as a result we do not sell into China. Each year we introduce new products and review our existing collections based on customer feedback and industry trends.

As a British brand we are extremely proud to have been creating beautiful body care and home fragrance for the last 20 years. We attribute our success to our talented team, our luxurious products plus brilliant customer relationships. We feel that at this point in time the most important journey we can take is that to sustainability. Due to the alarming environmental state of our planet, we feel we all must do our bit – both as individuals and organisations.

RESEARCH | REDUCE | RECYCLE
We have been horrified to understand the level of plastic in our oceans and the fact that only a small percentage currently gets recycled. Therefore, high on our agenda is packaging, particularly in terms of plastic.
RESEARCH
Keep up-to-date with technological and industry advances. Identify and harness innovation such as Breakdown Plastic (BDP™) to reduce our impact on the environment. Explore current and upcoming plastic alternatives.
REDUCE
Move away from unnecessary packaging, particularly in terms of gift sets. Seek and trial alternatives to plastic packaging, including environmentally friendly material such as aluminium and glass. Take an agile approach to packaging as innovative solutions come to market.
RECYCLE
Ensure our head office and warehouse continue best practices with recycling and waste management. Shift all packaging to commonly recycled materials e.g. PET. Improve packaging & recycling information to help consumers responsibly dispose of products after use. Increase the amount of recycled content used in our packaging.
